About me
I’m a BASRaT-registered Sports Rehabilitator with a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation and an MSc in Applied Strength and Conditioning, with experience across mens and women’s rugby, school grade sports and private rehabilitation.
My own interest in injury rehabilitation comes mostly from my own experiences as an athlete. I played rugby from the age of 5 through to 19, including involvement in the Leicester Tigers development pathway. Significant hand and repeated shoulder injuries eventually brought my playing career to an end, giving me first hand experience of the frustration, uncertainty and loss of confidence that can come from an injury.
That experience played a role in my decision to pursue a career in rehabilitation and performance. I wanted to better understand injury, recovery and performance, and to help other people navigate the process of injury with clearer support and direction.
My approach combines assessment, progressive rehabilitation, strength development and objective testing where appropriate, with rehabilitation plans tailored to the individual rather than simply the injury.
At JDS Rehabilitation and Performance, I work with both sporting and MSK clients, with the aim of providing clear, practical and progressive rehabilitation from initial assessment through to return to activity.
